I am Alexander. I have over 13 years of experience in creating user experience driven products. I work as a Product Manager, Senior User Experience designer, specializing in Customer Experience and Conversion rate optimization. I'm currently working and living out of Oslo, Norway.
For the past 13 years, I have been involved in the development of online products and leading teams. At 11 years old, I began programming my own websites and programs for the PC game The Sims. I have helped both big and small businesses understand the bigger picture of their product potential, as well as create a plan to reach their goals. This includes translating business goals into development requirements, and utilizing my UX and programming experience to comprehend the constraints faced by team members of other disciplines.
As the Product Manager at Gyldendal, the largest publishing house in Norway, I am responsible for developing new ways of innovating in the traditional publishing sector. One of my most successful undertakings was Pokket.no, a digital bookselling platform that I spearheaded by working with influencers to create their own bookstores. In the four months since taking over the project, I have achieved over 300% growth and have saved the company 600.000kr by automating processes.
I have provided consulting services to some of Norway's leading e-commerce companies, including Ark.no, Gyldendal and Zooca, to ensure a unified user experience that takes into account the greater goals of SEO, marketing, and CRO. My efforts for Ark resulted in a 15% boost in conversion rate, which generated millions of additional revenue.
Having extensive experience in UX design, I have a firm grasp of how applicable user experience is to users, marketers, managers, and developers. I possess an understanding of user psychology, allowing me to provide insights into how individuals think when making buying decisions. I have published about a hundred articles on UX design, CRO, and product development that have been read by over 500,000 people. I have published a workbook and an Amazon bestselling book that focus on customer experience and conversion rate optimization.
I do spend a lot of time researching, writing articles, and dive deep into the world of user physiology. I'm always looking for the newest and coolest tech to help me improve my work.
The perfect user experience is about empathy, not just understanding what a person does or says but why they do it and that's where I come in - as someone who can use this insight to create effective content at every stage of the conversion funnel.
I am also very interested in psychology research which has helped me better understand how people act within different contexts with an effect on their decision-making process. You'll see many references throughout my blog posts to various psychological theories like behavioral economics, persuasion techniques, etc. because these are fascinating topics for both UX design practitioners and anyone curious about human behavior.

This project is part of my works at Novicell.

Infonor Systems AS
To offer customers an even better experience, Infonor wanted to develop a mobile app that would allow employees in stores like G-Sport and Sport 1 to take orders on their phones. With the help of myself, I led my team of developers through this project. We have developed a new application that is now being used by 3.300 employees in these retailers!
TOMAxALEX
I started my jewelry empire by taking the leap into importing from Brazil. I designed and sold custom pieces online via WooCommerce, Tumblr, Instagram - which grew to 10,000 followers in just a few months! It was during this time that I began developing on Redux Enterprise.

Rihanna Norge was the largest fan site and fan community in Norway based on singer and artist Rihanna. I founded and began the community. Since then, thanks to good connections within Universal Music's office in Norway - they offer our readers content on some of their latest releases!
SimGoodie
SimGoodie was how I started with UX design and web development and was really the springboard for everything I did after that. It became the largest The Sims fan site in Norway and I worked closely with Electronic Arts to test and market new games. I am still managing a community of 7.000 members.
