How I Took a Furniture Company from 0 to 100 Orders Per Day

Vogue Interiors is a furniture company with a difference. Rather than sourcing their products from a single country or region, they scour the globe for the best pieces to offer their customers. This means that their furniture is truly unique, and of the highest quality.

I was lucky enough to help them build their brand and marketing from the ground up. Going from zero to 100 orders per day was no mean feat, but we did it! Part of the secret to our success was creating a community of shoppers who cared about great design and quality, as well as providing an excellent shopping experience. I helped them increase conversion rates by about 50% in the time I worked with them.

What was the problem they faced?

The company faced the problem of how to make their furniture stand out in a competitive market. With so many furniture companies out there, it can be difficult to make yours stand out. Vogue Interiors solved this problem by sourcing their furniture from all over the world, meaning that their pieces are truly unique. We also created a community of like-minded shoppers who care about great design and quality. This helped to increase conversion rates and made Vogue Interiors the success it is today.

What was the agitation for the company?

The agitation for the company was to create a brand that would be successful. In order to do this, they needed to offer furniture that was unique and of the highest quality. They also needed to create a community of shoppers who would be loyal to the brand and who would spread the word about the company. I was lucky enough to help them with this, and I am proud of the success we achieved together.

The solution

With some of the strategies I implemented for them, I helped the company increase its conversion rates by about 50%. I helped them with their marketing and UX design. I created a community of shoppers who were loyal to the brand and helped spread the word about the company.

I also helped increase conversion rates by ensuring the shopping experience was excellent from start to finish. Some strategies I implemented were A/B testing, landing pages, making sure the website was user-friendly, redesigning the branding, and more.

One of the things that was interesting with this project was the freedom I had to play around with A/B testing and how to attract the most customers, especially with the use of email. They had some thoughts on design and incentive. One was a small gift with the first order, the second was a 10% discount, and the third was a combination of the two. I then decided to create an A/B test with their email marketing software to compare it, and we could observe a clear trend:

  • Gift only: Converted 2% of the time
  • Discount only: 0.62% conversion rate
  • Combination: 8% conversion rate

We thought it would convert better with the gift and discount, but we were also afraid that might be too much information to give at once. We had no idea how dramatically different our conversion rate could have been.

The entire shift in messaging, branding and design helped the company move from 0 to 100 orders per day without problems.

What were my responsibilities during this project?

  • Recreate the branding and flesh out the concepts
  • Create a proper marketing plan and strategy from top of funnel to after-purchase
  • Develop a completely new website based on WooCommerce and WordPress
  • Created and maintained the SEO strategy, ending up ranking number one on Google for several of the products in the US
  • Planned out and executed the community building through Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok
  • Implemented a full conversion rate optimization campaign
  • Created and maintained all email marketing and strategies
  • Worked on the UX and UI of the store
  • Facebook and Instagram ads creation and maintenance
  • Video editing and publishing
